New Opinions

We felt like we needed a new opinion and an advocate so over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house we went. We actually did go to my grandparents but before that we stopped at this new doctors office. We got there at noon and didn’t leave until 3:30 AND not more than 5 min of that time was waiting. We were with the doctor the entire time (vary rare! normally I spend at least an hour waiting). Most the time was spent going over my Lyme lab tests and other labs I have had done as well as doing some new test but basically he just confirmed that I have lyme and I’m not crazy and… yeah, I’m not crazy. Anyway, I am starting on a new regime as of today. New antibiotics, supplements, everything.

My new antibiotics consists of the following (orally because I got my Picc Line removed!!!)…

Biaxian XL (Clarithromcyin) 500mg twice daily
Omnicef (cefdinir) 300mg twice daily

For supplements the new Lyme doc has me taking:

A-L Complex: Herbal lyme treatment that fights viral, parasitical, and fungal infections, supports immune system, reduces inflammation, helps regulate detoxification pathways. This is a liquid dropper. 1 drop in water in the morning and at night adding a drop a day until I herx and than going back down to the last dose I didn’t herx at. This can’t be taken with food or any other supplement/medication
CO Q 10: I was on this supplement before but had to stop because I was on mepron. This helps with blood pressure and helps cells convert fats and sugar into energy called ATP. (Don’t take this at the same time as fish oil – “cod liver oil”). 100mg daily.
Cod Liver Oil: Omega 3 fatty acid that decreases inflammation, supports positive mood, healthy skin, and decreases menstrual pain. Promotes cardiovascular health, improved blood viscosity, joint mobility, flexibility, and memory function. I am suppose to take 3 caps daily but they are HUGE pills so I am just taking 2 right now.
Orotho Biotic: Formulated for Gastrointestinal Health and Immune Health. OrothoBiotic is formulated with Saccharomyces Boulardii, a proven potentiator for good bactiera. This encourages a healthy environment for vitamin uptake. — This is just a stronger probiotic than the one I am on now. Taking one in the morning.
Premier Magnesium: For heart health and muscle spasm, this mineral can also help balance the body’s calcium supply to prevent and reverse effects of osteoporosis. — Also just a stronger more absorbent magnesium than the one I was on before. I am taking 2 in the morning and at night.
Vitamin D3 5000 iu: I am Vitamin D deficient. Take one on even days and two on odd days.
*All these and others will be under the Supplement tab up top too**

I am also seeing another doctor thru abbott hospital that is not a lyme literate doctor but is a good holistic doctor. I’m not actually sure what his title is but he calls himself an ‘internist’ because he doesn’t look at the anatomy of the body but the biology. Western medicine doctors like their x-rays and MRI’s and all those test are normal on me so I got referred to this guy because he looks at the biology and how things work. He ran a bunch blood test (like seriously 100, they took so much blood!) and we got some of them back and my some of my results are NOT normal but we won’t get the rest of the tests back till next week. I am going to wait to explain whats wrong and all that and the supplements he wants me to take until I have all of the test results back next week.

I'm suppling the vampires #everyweek

I’m suppling the vampires #labs

So right now I am seeing two different doctors, my lyme doctor and the abbott dr. I am also starting physical therapy on friday and hopefully yoga next week if the 20 pills I take a day stay down….

Lets hope I can keep the pain under control during the herxing and that I start to have more good days vs. bad.
